Hao Chen

I am Hao Chen. I am a research assistant at Digital Architecture Research & Technologies (DART Lab) within the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan, where I am participating in projects relating to 3D concrete printing.

I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK. 

My research interests include 1) material design and rheology control of concrete for 3D printing; 2) the development of sustainable concrete materials using supplementary cementitious materials and alternative binders; and 3) exploring the environmental sustainability of Portland cement production.

More about me

I finished my middle school and high school in China and Italy. During my free time, I like playing badminton and cooking.
