Mesh Generation Based on Bitmap of Force Field

This method aims to simplify the design workflow for parts with minimal material by creating structurally optimized parts based on 2D bitmaps of the force fields generated by the structural analysis software. Mesh generation is organized such that faces align with force patterns. Therefore, grayscale bitmaps are translated into sets of closed polylines, which then serve as constraints for generating meshes based on the Voronoi method. The resulting mesh can be used to generate a 3D topography with perfect alignment to the outline of stress patterns in contrast to the common approach of using regular orthogonal mesh grids. This method allows to create materially efficient parts based on the internal forces within a part.
